Euthanasia & Copy Cat Syndrome

Think this is not a uncommon topic to each of you guys. C'mon, how many times in the past 3 months have you read that somebody has drown in Bedok Reservoir?

First time you see it, you go "OMG"
Second time, you go "OMG OMG, AGAIN???"
Third time, you go " (-_-)"... whatever lah..."
Anymore than that, i guess we will all go "Lets have a bet. $10, when is the next case"

Now, lets see this and determine if it suits into the reason why they chose to commit suicide.

COPY CAT SYNDROME : Some psychiatrists say these are emotionally immature people who find an excuse to vent their latent hostile emotions when a ''leader'' like the Tylenol killer shows them the way. Dr. Richard Galston, a Harvard Medical School psychiatrist, says the copycat criminals may have weak ego structures and ''have difficulty running their lives.'' Although little is known about this mental aberration, many experts believe that the original crimes may have touched off latent emotions such as fear or anger in the ''copycats.'' Dr. Robert Howell, a psychologist at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, and president of the American Board of Forensic Psychologists, thinks that the original Tylenol crime was probably committed by a person who was bitter about something. Copycat criminals, though they might be bitter, could also have been seeking fame and attention, he said. (quoted from : http://www.nytimes.com/1982/10/30/us/experts-theorize-about-copycat-syndrome.html)

But, have anybody thought this is actually a case of Euthanasia ?
Allow me to define : Euthanasia (from the greek meaning "good death": (well or good) , thanatos (death) refers to the practice of intentionally ending a life in order to relieve pain and suffering.

This is a.k.a Committing Suicide.

If that is the case, should Euthanasia be legalised?
Answer is "Hell Nooooo...." We do not want any additional vitamins in the reservoir. Moreover, some ppl are fighting for their life, yet these ppl ended it when they are well and very much alive. Do they realise, when they die, they go through only 1min suffering, but their parents and loved ones go through a decade of suffering. When they think of you, they cry. Now, does that make you a man?

Go figure....
